Aluminium
This is a reactive light metal. With the help of fused-salt electrolysis, a metal is extracted from the element, which is often used in industry and technology. When exposed to air, it forms a stable oxide layer that protects it from corrosion. The areas of application include the production of wires, packaging material and building materials through to components for alloys. In particular, round rods and tubes made of aluminum are used for roller construction.
